Scarborough
Scarborough signal box between the platform 5 (behind the signal box) and platform 4 lines at Scarborough station. Sunday 12th August 1984
Scarborough signal box was a North Eastern Railway Type S1 design which opened in 1903. The box was extended at the nearer end some time before closure which came on 21st October 1984, after which the remaining trackwork at Scarborough station was controlled from Falsgrave signal box
I believe that the nameboard is a London and North Eastern Railway replacement
Toronto: fatal accident scene
Ambulance attendants carry away the blanket-draped body of a man who’s truck lost an argument with a train.
Two things happen when you die quickly and traumatically, your shoes come off and your bowels and bladder empty. I carried a lot of shoes away from accident scenes during my career as a Toronto police officer.
